Music as Social Innovation is a collaboration between the University of Edinburgh and Limelight Music Ltd, providing access to music activities for disadvantaged groups and assessing their social impact.

Join us at our showcase event on the 25th of January 11-1pm through our live-stream on this website or through our Facebook page!

From Spring 2018 Limelight Music Ltd will run a series of music workshops with young adults with disabilities in Renfrewshire, Glasgow and the West of Scotland. Our research team in the School of Music at the University of Edinburgh is evaluating the Limelight workshops for the Scottish Government, to find out how the workshops might address social disadvantage. We will look at musical interventions that are meaningful, engaging and support social and psychological benefits for the participants.
